Time
and Place: Thursdays 8.00 -9.30pm at Revitalise
86, Church Road, Hove (opposite Hove town hall). All
are welcome on a drop in basis. Cost £5 (£4
members)
Programme: Fortnightly talks on different
aspects of astrology, interspersed with class evenings.
Talks are suitable for beginners and advanced, but a
knowledge of basic astrology is needed for the class
evenings (A new beginner’s class will start separately
in January. Contact Phoebe for details) Bring your birth-chart
to the meetings, if you have one, or give Phoebe your
data and she will print one out for you free.

and Directions: the Hands on your Life Clock’
class with Phoebe. How to interpret your
secondary progressions and your solar arc directions

People don’t Heal’, a talk
by Laurel Alexander. Our chart shows how we perceive
our well-being and how we manage ill-health. Laurel
will explore different attitudes to health and healing
that show up in our chart using chart examples. |

‘The
Astrology of 2012’ a discussion evening.
We will revisit the ideas presented by Helen Sewell
in her talk last January. Phoebe will summarise
the views of Geoff Stray in his book ‘Beyond
2012’, and this will be followed by a general
discussion. |

‘More
on the Almutem as a Guide to Life’ a
talk by Bernard Honey. The Almutem is a medieval
concept of the most influential planet in the horoscope.
In his second talk Bernard will demonstrate its
calculation and use examples from your charts (not
for total beginners) |

in Depth’ class with Pam. Relationships
show us our subconscious patterns. How to unravel

'Feeling the
Pinch' a talk by Alan Card. Alan will give
his take on the credit crunch combination of Saturn
in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn, and show how, with
Jupiter in Aquarius, we can still afford to be optimistic
about the future. |

Retrograde
motion’, class with Phoebe Sober
Saturn is retrograde in Virgo, plasmic Pluto retrograde
in Capricorn, and now jubilant Jupiter turns retrograde
in Aquarius. How are your retrograde planets different
in their expression? |

Kepler’ a talk by Phoebe. The amazing
life and explosive genius of the famous astronomer
demonstrate the Capricorn-Aquarius archetypal mix,
and show our present potential during the Saturn-Uranus
opposition. |

Phoebe’s astrology board game, a game of self-discovery
and a powerful oracle. Learn more about astrology

‘Chiron
and the Centaurs’ a talk by Melanie
Reinhart. In the early 1990s, new astronomical discoveries
resulted in the designation of a new sub-category
of celestial objects – ‘The Centaurs’.
Chiron is considered a prototype, and this talk
explores the astronomy, mythology and meaning of
Chiron in the horoscope. |

‘‘Astrodrama’,
class with Phoebe. The planets, your subpersonalities,
all have different voices. We will experience how
they dialogue with one another in your chart. |

2nd |
Monomoiria’
a talk by Trav. Monomoiria reveals much
of the 'pre-programming' within a natal chart. It’s
easy to learn and apply. Trav will use example charts
to show it's use and effectiveness, and you'll be
left wondering how you ever lived without it! |

‘Practical
chart interpretation’ a class with
Lena. If you have gleaned some astrology from talks
and books, but you don’t know how to interpret
a birth chart, Lena will introduce you to a simple
step by step method of chart interpretation. |

Brainer?’ a talk by Trav The Moon
and Mercury are traditional rulers of the mind but
astrologers today only consider Mercury. In this
session we will learn to assess an individual's
way of thinking and operating by re-integrating
the moon with Mercury. |

Where
are we at? class with Phoebe. We will lay
out our present transits in the circle on the floor
and interpret them. |

BIOGRAPHIES
Phoebe Wyss has worked as a professional
astrologer for 30 years. She also has qualifications
in counselling and past-life regression. She pioneered
the experiential approach to astrology in Germany, where
she published her astrology board game, Lebensrad, She
is author of two books Hercules’ Labours: the
Evolutionary Path round the Horoscope and Virtual Lives:
the Animated Zodiac .
Melanie Reinhart has 34 years experience
as a professional astrologer, writing, offering personal
consultations and teaching in many countries. She is
the author of Chiron and the Healing Journey and
other best-selling books.
Pam Carruthers is a professional certified
Western and Vedic astrologer (Faculty of Astrological
Studies and ACVA). She works as a counselling astrologer,
and facilitates workshops as a Psychology of Vision
trainer, and also offers life coaching
Laurel Alexander has been an astrologer
for over 20 years and a complementary therapist for
10 years. Her approach to healthcare is eclectic, offering
integration with conventional medicine where necessary,
Trav’s interest in astrology
started in childhood. He studied with the Faculty, and
was later tutored by Olivia Barclay and John Frawley
in horary and traditional methods where his real interest
lies. A member of the 'Stargroup' of the University
of Chichester, Trav runs his own traditional group,
'The Astrological Explorers', as well as his horary
practice.
Alan Card is well-known in Brighton
as the writer of the astrology column for The Insight
(Insight City News) . A resident astrologer on Juice
Radio FM, he has a client base in the entertainment
industry.
Bernard Honey, a trained career guidance
adviser and astrologer, studied with the Faculty. He
interprets horoscopes and teaches astrology to beginners
and homeopaths.
Lena Hjalmarrson was born in Sweden
and studied astrology at Liz Greene's Centre for Psychological
Astrology. She teaches beginners’ and intermediate
courses on astrology and tarot at the Brighton College
and other venues.
