Homeopathy
Rebecca Sharp SDSHom, RSHom

Rebecca established her practice in 2006 and is a fully qualified and licensed homeopath, registered with the Society of Homeopaths. This means that she practices to an approved standard and abides by formal codes of ethics and conduct. She trained for four years at the South Downs School of Homeopathy in Chichester. In her final year she completed a dissertation on the Homeopathic Treatment of Eczema and Dermatitis for which she was awarded a prize for outstanding work.

Prior to studying homeopathy Rebecca worked in marketing and public relations but took a career break to look after her two boys, Joe and Matthew. It was during this time she experienced first hand the physical and emotional healing benefits of Homeopathy for herself and also for her family. Her passion for homeopathy and desire to learn more led to a complete career change and she now divides her time between her practices in Hove and Southwick.

From her own personal experience, and from her clinical experience of treating men, women and children, it is clear that the environment and pressures of modern life can have a detrimental impact on our health and well-being. This may manifest as physical, mental and/ or emotional symptoms. Whatever the symptoms, they are our bodies’ way of telling us that something is not quite right. However, many people are simply too busy to be ill and rely heavily on prescribed or over the counter medication in order to suppress the symptoms, allowing them to function and get by on a day by day basis. Whilst for many this approach no doubt helps in the short term, it does not get to the root cause of the problem. Homeopathy can offer a more gentle and natural approach, treating the person and not just the symptoms.

Whilst more in-depth homeopathic treatment is always recommended for long term or chronic illnesses, homeopathy can be helpful in relieving the symptoms of these and also in treating minor or acute illnesses such as sore throats, headaches, cystitis, sickness and diarrhoea, teething and so on. The drop-in clinic at Revitalise is available every week day for just this purpose, providing easy and quick access to a qualified homeopath. Rebecca’s involvement in the drop-in clinic, alongside Annie and Sarah, is driven by a desire to allow everyone to experience the benefits of Homeopathy by making it easily accessible.
